South Fork Country Club is an 18-hole course that measures 6,018 yards from its farthest tees with a par of 70, a rating of 69.8, and a slope of 129. Originally consisting of only nine holes from the 1930s, three of which were redesigned by Francis Duane in 1974, architect Gil Hanse added the remaining nine holes in 1999-2000, creating a full 18-hole layout. The course is nestled in the oceanside village of Amagansett and surrounded by nature preserves. The layout features a traditional, wide open feeling with elevated greens and tees that are exceptionally fast, though fairways are only average in width. Water hazards add interest to the course, and quirky old construction techniques have been preserved to give the course its own unique character.
