East Hampton Golf Club

Course Information Unclaimed

East Hampton Golf Club is an 18-hole course featuring 6400 yards of golf with a par of 71. Designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw and opened in 2000, the course sits on a 123-acre site that received concept approval in 1978 but took two decades to construct. The first seven holes play on firm, fescue-lined linksy terrain while holes eight through 18 wind through woodlands and hills. The course has a rating of 67.5 and a slope rating of 115.

Notable holes include the short par-four 2nd with a small central bunker, the signature par-five 5th with a large waste bunker, and on the back nine, heavily bunkered raised greens at the doglegged par-fours on holes 12 and 13, with a sandy waste area between holes 15 and 16. The back nine has been compared to Pine Valley with its huge waste bunkers, particularly on holes 12 and 13. The design features strong variety in hole length and bunker placement with usually several ways to play each hole.
