Reay Golf Club is an 18-hole links course located on the edge of Sandside Bay in the far north of Scotland, near Caithness. Designed by renowned architect James Braid, it holds the distinction of being the most northerly 18-hole links course on the British mainland. The course spans 5,854 yards and features a unique layout that opens and closes with par-3 holes.

Set against stunning panoramic views of the Pentland Firth and North Atlantic, Reay presents a genuine test of golfing skill with real shot-making challenges including punched long irons and bump-and-run shots. The course combines relatively straightforward opening holes that gradually increase in difficulty, featuring exceptional long par-5s, carry-only par-3s, and strategic holes with blind shots and well-guarded greens. Notable holes include the 235-yard opening par-3, the 581-yard par-5 "Sahara" 4th hole, and the 196-yard par-3 "Pilkington" 7th hole played across the Reay burn to a raised green.

The course is characterized by wiry links turf fairways and large oval-shaped greens meticulously maintained for putting challenges. Coastal winds define the typical playing experience. The 18th hole features a two-tiered green protected by greenside bunkers, providing a formidable finishing challenge.
