Port Jefferson Country Club is an 18-hole championship golf course located on Long Island's North Shore in Port Jefferson, NY, overlooking Long Island Sound. The 145-acre layout spans 6,800 yards at par 72. The course's history is layered: originally established in 1908 as the nine-hole Belle Terre Club designed by Alexander Findlay, it expanded to 18 holes in 1924 with influence from Devereux Emmet. The current routing incorporates elements from both original designs. Additionally, the course includes holes from the Alfred H. Tull-designed Harbor Hills Country Club course, which opened in 1956 on the same property.
Situated on the North Shore's waterfront, the course offers panoramic views of Long Island Sound, with clubhouse facilities perched approximately 100 feet above the water. The setting provides scenic vistas characteristic of the region's landscape. The course is actively played competitively by members and serves as a venue for tournaments, outings, and special events. Complementing the golf experience, the facility features a full-service clubhouse, fitness center, locker rooms, and The Turn, a casual dining establishment adjacent to the course.
