The Palm Course at Saujana Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole championship layout designed by the Ronald Fream Design Group of California. Nicknamed "The Cobra" for its testing and challenging nature, the course measures 6,992 yards from the black tees. It is widely recognized among golfers in Malaysia and the region for its rigorous demands, having been voted Malaysia’s No. 1 Golf Club and included among the world's 100 Best Golf Resorts. The layout is characterized by mature palm trees, finely groomed fairways, and Tifeagle greens. The terrain features significant elevation changes, with many holes playing uphill or downhill, and includes water hazards, deep bunkers, and out-of-bounds areas. The second hole, a 172-yard Par 3, is rated the Most Difficult Hole in Malaysia. This signature hole features a demanding tee shot to a large two-tier green, where the front level is very narrow and flanked by deep bunkers. A drastic slope in front of the green sends short shots back into unplayable rough. Other notable challenges include the sixth hole, known as "The Stadium Hole," which requires an accurate drive to a small plateau and a precise approach to a green with pronounced undulations. The ninth hole is a long Par 4 with a narrow fairway flanked by bunkers and palm trees, with out-of-bounds on the right. The green sits atop a hill, requiring a long iron for many players, and features an acute two-tiered design that makes birdies rare. The seventeenth hole presents a sharp dogleg left with water and trees protecting the green, while the eighteenth is a reachable Par 5 that finishes with a well-guarded, undulating green.
