Middle Island Country Club features 27 holes and opened in 1964, designed by Baier Lustgarten. The course was carved from 225 acres of the legendary, historic Lustengarten Nursery. The parkland-style course features three unique nine-hole tracks—Spruce, Oak, and Dogwood—each thoughtfully designed to challenge players with its distinct characteristics. The Spruce nine features 3,373 yards for a par of 36, and the Oak nine features 3,308 yards of golf for a par of 36.

The Spruce nine boasts generous fairways and large greens with plenty of scoring opportunities, while the Dogwood nine is much more challenging with narrow fairways and greens with surprising breaks. An island green was added to the seventh hole (a 393-yard par-4) during a 2008 renovation of the Spruce course. The Oak course requires strategy and course knowledge, with almost all holes featuring a dogleg or two that make the course play longer than the yardage indicates.

Since 1965, the course has hosted golfers of all skill levels. The course offers an exceptional blend of well-maintained greens and diverse course layouts that cater to golfers of all skill levels, nestled in the scenic beauty of Middle Island, New York.
