Miami Valley Golf Club features an 18-hole championship course designed by Donald J. Ross that opened in 1919, measuring 6,589 yards with a par of 71. The private course sits on 154 acres located just 4 miles from downtown Dayton. The terrain is gently rolling with small, fast greens, and water hazards and sand bunkers come into play on many holes.

The golf course was designed by Donald Ross and the club was established on June 3, 1919. The Olmsted Brothers firm contributed to the site design from entrance to clubhouse location, creating a park-like feel of the course. The historic clubhouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The club hosted the PGA Championship in 1957, the last time the competition was played under match play format, won by Lionel Hebert who beat Dow Finsterwald by a margin of 2 & 1. The club also served as venue for the 1931 Western Open. Many national and state tournaments for amateurs and professionals are held at the course.
