Marshwood was the first golf course built at The Landings, opening in July 1974. Originally designed through a collaboration between Arnold Palmer and Frank Duane, the course underwent a significant redesign in 2003 by architect Tim Liddy, which included rebuilt greens, tees, and bunkers, as well as updated drainage and irrigation systems.

The course measures 6,904 yards with a par of 72 and is located on Skidaway Island in Savannah, Georgia. Marshwood is characterized by a tight layout that winds through dense oak and pine trees, presenting a challenging playing experience. A notable feature is the course's spectacular views of Romerly Marsh, with the 12th hole considered the most scenic hole at The Landings. The course includes concrete cart paths throughout. As a private club course, Marshwood maintains high standards for its membership base while offering players a classic Georgia lowcountry golf experience.
