Liberty National Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course located in Jersey City, New Jersey, along the Hudson River with iconic views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the Manhattan skyline. Designed by 1992 U.S. Open Champion Tom Kite and renowned architect Bob Cupp, the course opened in July 2006 after extensive development of the historic Caven Point industrial site.
The 7,400-yard layout features a parkland links style design that balances dramatic scenery with traditional golf architecture. The course was meticulously constructed with Belgian cart-path stones and incorporates the site's cultural heritage and natural elements of light and shadow. Players are treated to magnificent views throughout, including vistas of New York Harbor and the Verrazano Narrows Bridge.
Liberty National has hosted significant professional tournaments, including the FedEx Cup Playoffs (2009, 2013, 2019, 2021), The Presidents Cup (2017), and the Mizuho Americas Open (2023-2025). Located just fifteen minutes by boat from lower Manhattan, the club reflects its unique position within the world's financial and cultural center, accessible via helipad and ferry service.
