Heritage Oaks Golf Course was designed by William Love and features a Par 70 layout offering a great variety of holes, including links-style holes along with several tree-lined holes. Distances range from 4500 yards to 6325 yards, and the course offers four sets of tees on each hole for golfers of all abilities. Additional features include a full-size practice green and a full driving range.
Located in Harrisonburg, Virginia, Heritage Oaks is an award-winning municipal course owned by the city and opened in 2001. The course features L93 bentgrass greens and PennTrio bentgrass fairways for year-round playability. In 2021, GOLF magazine recognized Heritage Oaks as one of the top 25 underrated municipal golf courses in the United States.
Heritage Oaks serves as home to several local high school golf teams, as well as James Madison University's men's and women's golf teams and Eastern Mennonite University's golf team.
