Golf at Glassy

Golf at Glassy is South Carolina's only true mountaintop golf course, situated at more than 3,000 feet above sea level on Glassy Mountain. The par 72 course stretches from 3,156 to 6,805 yards with slope ratings of 104–154 and course ratings of 57.6–75.4, accommodating golfers of varying skill levels.

Designed by Tom Jackson, the course is renowned for its scenic beauty, ranking fourth most scenic in the nation behind only Cypress Point, Pebble Beach, and Augusta National. The signature par 3 thirteenth hole offers 75-mile views and defines the course experience.

The layout requires precision throughout, demanding accurate drives as players navigate elevation changes, slopes, and ravines that follow the natural terrain. The design philosophy emphasized working with existing land features rather than against them. With half of all strokes occurring on the greens, putting is a critical element of play at Glassy.
