Designed by William B. Langford, ASGCA, the Gatlinburg golf course opened in 1955. It underwent major renovations by Bob Cupp & Associates of Atlanta in 1993 and again in 2007. The 18-hole course features 6282 yards of golf for a par of 71. Located just five miles from downtown Gatlinburg, the course lies adjacent to Dollywood.
The course offers both seasoned golfers and beginners a challenge on every hole, with scenic beauty that has been acclaimed as one of the most picturesque courses in America and features breathtaking views of the Great Smoky Mountains. The course features the legendary #12, affectionately known as "Sky Hi," which is 194 yards in length and drops 200 feet from tee to green, making it one of the most dramatic holes in the country. Hole number three measures 529 yards and is a 5-par nicknamed "Long Lane." After a spring 2022 Irrigation and Drainage Renovation, the course is in prime condition.
