Ferrybridge Golf Club is a 9-hole course located in Fryston Park near Knottingley, West Yorkshire, surrounded by mature woodland with gently undulating terrain. Designed by Simon Gidmon and opened in 2017, the course stretches 6,300 yards for 18 holes (playing two tees per hole) and presents a challenge for golfers of all handicap levels. The shortest hole measures 162 yards while the longest extends to 504 yards. The layout integrates three large areas of mature woodland throughout, creating a well-established aesthetic despite the course's recent opening. A notable feature is the 7th green, which is guarded by a lake. The club was originally established in the 1970s as part of the Ferrybridge Power Station sports facility but relocated multiple times due to power station developments before establishing its current location. The course has gained recognition as modern 9-hole golf gains endorsement from The R&A as a forward-thinking format. The club offers memberships at various levels and welcomes visitors, operating from 7am to 5pm with a clubhouse providing refreshments and facilities for members and visiting parties.
