El Cortijo Club de Campo features 18 holes with a par of 72 and a length of 6,308 meters, making it one of the longest courses in Spain. The course was designed by Blake Stirling and Marco Martin, with Stirling having served as head designer for Pete Dye. The design includes up to six tees per hole, allowing players of all levels to enjoy the game, while holes are surrounded by several small lakes that have been incorporated into the design.
The course is located in Telde, 15 minutes from Las Palmas. Players encounter gentle slopes and fast greens combined with over 600 century-old palm trees and six large lakes. The course was designed on an old farm running along three valleys with broad representation of indigenous flora, achieving full integration of golf within the existing centenary palm grove.
El Cortijo Club de Campo hosted the 2002 Spanish Open, won by Sergio Garcia. The course has established itself as a significant venue for professional golf, debuting at the international level through this European Tour tournament. Beyond golf, the facility offers tennis courts, paddle courts, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, and a restaurant.
