Salobre Sur (Old Course), inaugurated in 1999, is an 18-hole Par 71 course originally designed by Roland Favré. The course boasts a prestigious history, having hosted top-tier tournaments such as the Spanish PGA in 2006. The course has been intelligently designed to best appreciate the typical terraced valleys of the south of Gran Canaria, offering magnificent views both over the sea and the mountains. This traditional course is for players of all levels, featuring tees with different heights and small putting greens as its special signature. A special emphasis lies on the par 3s for having the most demanding and characteristic holes, especially the 11th hole, for its level of difficulty and its stone surroundings. As part of the only resort on the island featuring 36 holes, the courses offer distinct technical challenges designed to coexist organically with the surrounding volcanic terrain and environment.
