The East Course at Park Hills Golf Club in Freeport, Illinois is an 18-hole course featuring 6,477 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by C.D. Wagstaff, the East golf course opened in 1955. The course rating is 69.9 and it has a slope rating of 116. The East Course is a classic, relaxing specimen of parkland golf.

The course is tucked away in the rolling countryside of Freeport, Illinois, where candidates Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas stood toe-to-toe in debate in 1858. The East and West courses feature immaculately maintained fairways, fast greens and a natural setting. The East is the older of the two public courses and is the one preferred by most seniors.

Park Hills Golf Course offers 36 holes of golf across two courses. The facility includes a low-key, welcoming clubhouse, a grass-tee practice range, and food service. The award-winning public course offers incomparable playing conditions, with gently rolling terrain, manicured greens and abundant wildflowers.
