Carolina Country Club, located in Raleigh, NC, is a private 18-hole facility that opened in 1910, originally known as the Raleigh Country Club before being renamed in 1918. The par 71 course measures between 6,304 – 5,119 yards depending on which of the four sets of tee markers is played. Many elevation changes keep the holes interesting and challenging, while the course retains its historic roots in bunkering and how holes flow with the land, making it eminently playable for golfers of any skill level. Notable features include the par-3, 182-yard 8th hole that plays downhill across a natural, flowing, rocky stream and is visually daunting and may be the best hole on the golf course. The 158-yard 11th features a broad, low, island-style green site beneath large, stately old-Raleigh mansions. The club has remained at its original location since inception and has been recognized as a five-star Platinum Club of America.
