North Ridge Country Club is a member-owned country club located in northern Raleigh, North Carolina, with two 18-hole golf courses, The Lakes and The Oaks. The Lakes was built in 1967 and The Oaks was built in 1972, designed by Gene Hamm and George Cobb, and later updated by John LaFoy and Kris Spence. The Lakes course features 6,763 yards for a par of 72 with a course rating of 72.9 and slope rating of 132. The Oaks course features 6,614 yards for a par of 72 with a course rating of 71.6 and slope rating of 128.
The facility offers 36 holes that have hosted multiple CGA championships, with the Lakes Course featuring modernistic elements and the Oaks Course featuring old school character, both meticulously groomed with Champion Ultra dwarf bermuda grass. North Ridge hosted the American Defender Classic from 1975 until 1981. Along with the two golf courses, the facility includes a pool and swim clubhouse, a 70,000-square-foot clubhouse, tennis courts, restaurant, and a fitness center.
