Guardian Bom Sucesso Golf is an 18-hole, par 72 championship course designed by renowned architect Donald Steel, inaugurated in September 2008. Located adjacent to Óbidos Lagoon in Portugal, the course occupies over 60 hectares within the Bom Sucesso Resort, offering stunning views of the lagoon and surrounding natural landscape.
The layout integrates classical golf design principles with the existing terrain, featuring strategically positioned lakes, bunkers, and long greens that provide a challenging yet elegant experience for both experienced golfers and enthusiasts. The course incorporates natural water features and undulating terrain throughout.
Notable holes include the signature par 5 17th hole, positioned at the course's highest point with commanding lagoon views and a dramatically left-sloping fairway that challenges even skilled players. The par 5 2nd hole features a right dogleg with water hazards, while the closing par 4 18th hole requires navigating two water crossings before reaching the green.
The course is complemented by an elegant clubhouse offering dining facilities overlooking hole 18, practice areas, buggy rentals, and professional caddie services, providing a comprehensive golfing experience in a setting where architecture and nature coexist harmoniously.
