Established in 1922, Benvenue Country Club is located in Eastern North Carolina. The course features an original 18-hole layout designed by world-renowned course architect Donald Ross. The course plays to a par of 72 and a length of 6,547 yards. The course offers traditional Southern topography with level, rolling fairways surrounded by magnificent old pine trees. The course is situated just 5 minutes off of I-95 and includes a driving range, practice facility, and a pro shop.

The design demands strong iron play and accurate tee shots, with small, fast greens as a signature feature that have undulating breaks making them difficult to read at times. The layout starts with a relatively open front nine where bunkered greens are the most prominent challenges, while the back nine is longer with more trees and penalty ditches. The fourth hole is the most difficult on the course, featuring out-of-bounds along the entire right side of the fairway and a narrow opening to the green tightly bordered by three bunkers.

Additional facility highlights include seven lighted clay tennis courts, a junior Olympic swimming pool, and a clubhouse with beautiful dining rooms, banquet space, and private lounges.
