The Waihi Junior Open is a golf tournament for players under 19 years of age, held at Waihi Golf Club. The event offers four divisions: Futures 18H (two divisions requiring a handicap, entry $20), Futures 11H (no handicap required, entry $15), and Futures 5H Ambrose (no handicap required, entry $15). The entry fee includes hot chips and a soft drink. Prizes and a lucky draw are available on the day. Players under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Tee time starts at 10:00am. The course accommodates both walking players and those using electric carts or trundlers, and utilizes a Dotgolf scoring system for accurate handicap registration.
