The Academy Tour is a golf competition designed for beginner golfers who want to gain experience on the course and make new golfing friends. Players compete in teams of four in a Texas Scramble format on the Par 3/4 course at Golfbaan Bentwoud. Teams can be registered as a group or individually - the club will form teams from individual sign-ups, balancing them by strength as evenly as possible. A maximum of one non-golfer is welcome per team. The maximum handicap is 36. The event starts with registration at reception from 14:45, followed by a shotgun start on the Par 3/4 course from 15:30. After play, participants are invited to a drinks reception at Brasserie Roest from 17:15, with the prize-giving at 17:45. The entry fee for non-members is €37.50 per person, which includes a 9-hole round, a bottle of water, a drink (soft drink, tap beer, or house wine), and three mixers at Brasserie Roest. Members with a round card (rondekaart) pay €10.00 plus one round card token. Registration closes on Wednesday 23 September, and the starting list is sent out on Thursday 24 September.
