Academy Tour is a Texas Scramble team competition at Golfbaan Bentwoud, designed for beginner golfers looking to gain experience on the course and make new golf friends. Teams of up to four players compete on the Par 3/4 course, with a maximum handicap of 36 accepted. Non-golfers are welcome on teams (maximum one per team). Players can register as a team or individually, with the club forming teams from individual registrations. Teams are distributed by strength to ensure balanced competition. Scoring is based on total team strokes, and only fully completed scorecards count. A prize is awarded for the day's winning team. The event includes reception and registration from 14:45, shotgun start at 15:30, a post-event drink and social at Brasserie Roest from 17:15, and prize-giving at 17:45. Entry fee is €37.50 per person for non-round-card holders, which includes a 9-hole round, a drink (soft drink, draft beer, or house wine), three mixers, and a bottle of water on the course. Round-card holders pay €10.00 plus one round-card token. Registration closes on Wednesday 26 August 2026; the start list is sent on Thursday 27 August.
