The Saturday Dog Fight is a weekly individual stableford competition held every Saturday at 7:30 AM at Westport Golf Club in Denver, NC. The event uses a Modified Stableford Point System where players compete for points, with additional contests for closest to the pin and skins. The $20 buy-in covers the points game, closest to the pin, skins, and a bonus random skin with a rollover pot. Green and cart fees are paid separately. Players are assigned tees based on gender and age: Men 59 and under play from the whites, Men 60-69 from the golds, Men 70+ and Ladies from the reds, with all ladies and men 70+ playing holes 3 and 4 from the gold tees. A verified GHIN handicap is required for first-time players; those without a GHIN handicap may still participate by paying an additional $10 (covering skins and pins only), with their point quota established for future weeks. Sign-up is by phone call to the pro shop by Thursday at 5:00 PM.
