The Friday Chook Run is a regular 9-hole competition held every Friday at 9:00am at Burrum District Golf Club. No handicap is required to enter. Visiting golfers are welcome to join the competition, although some prizes may be reserved for members on certain days. The event is open to all genders. Social golf is also available on competition days, and motorised carts can be hired by booking with the clubhouse.

The course spans 5,727 metres with a par of 70 for men and 72 for women.
