The Tuesday Vets is a regular weekly competition held at Burrum District Golf Club (Howard Golf Club) every Tuesday at 9am. The event is open to veteran golfers, defined as ladies aged 50 and over and men aged 55 and over. Visitors from other clubs and veteran golf associations are welcome to enter. The competition is played as a 4BBB (four ball better ball) stableford format, with groups of four players (two pairs) starting at 10-minute intervals. The entry fee is $10, with $6 going to the club and $4 to the prize pool. Entry is arranged by contacting Ian Anderson on 0457 686 108 or by email at ianb.anderson53@gmail.com. Winners are announced the following Tuesday. The club welcomes visiting golfers to all competitions, though some prizes may be reserved for members on certain days.

Burrum District Golf Club, located in Howard, Queensland, is a nine-green country-style course that creates a full 18-hole experience through alternate tees. The course spans 5,727 metres with a par of 70 for men and 72 for women. The layout features a mix of sand bunkers, water hazards in the form of dams, and occasional narrow, tree-lined fairways that provide moderate challenge without excessive difficulty. The club hosts regular competitions including Saturday mixed events, Tuesday veteran rounds, Wednesday men's play, Thursday ladies' competitions, and popular Friday nine-hole "Chook Runs" that require no handicap. Sunday "Hackers" nine-hole events are also available for social golfers. The course welcomes visitors and non-members to participate in competitions, making it an inclusive facility within the local golfing community.
