Lumberjack Junior Open

One-day junior open competition (18 holes, individual stroke play) held at Barnes Brook Golf Course in Enfield, Maine on Friday 26 June 2026. Part of the Maine Junior Open Series. Open to all juniors under age 19 at time of competition who hold a Maine GHIN handicap index. Maximum handicap index: 16.0 for high school age players; 28.0 for middle school age players. If more than 40 players register, the lowest 40 handicap indexes will be accepted. Entry fee: $30. Entry deadline is 7 days prior to the event. All entries must be submitted online via Golf Genius; a Golf Genius account is required. Players without a GHIN handicap index can obtain one through their home club or via Youth on Course membership ($5). Competition includes both an individual and an optional two-player team championship run simultaneously. Flights for both: High School (coed) and Middle School (coed). Players may choose their own partner for the team competition; no restrictions apply. In the event of a tie for the overall individual championship, a hole-by-hole playoff will be held. No motorised carts permitted; requests must be directed to Maine Golf. Starting times will be posted on the Maine Golf website and emailed to players no less than four days before the event. Withdrawals made more than one week before the first round are eligible for a refund minus a $25 processing fee; no refunds within one week of the event. Prizes

Individual High School and Middle School Champions each receive a trophy and $200 in Maine Golf vouchers. The Overall Team Champion (not flighted) receives a trophy and $300 in Maine Golf vouchers.
