Charlie's Maine Open

Three-day junior strokeplay competition held at Augusta Country Club in Manchester, Maine, running June 22–24 (Monday–Wednesday). Part of the Maine Junior Open Series. Open to juniors under the age of 19 who hold a Maine GHIN handicap index. Maximum handicap index of 16.0 for high school age players and 28.0 for middle schoolers. If more than 40 players register, the lowest 40 handicap indexes will be accepted. Players without a GHIN handicap index can obtain one through their home club or by joining Youth on Course ($5 fee). Entry fee is $30. All entries must be made online via Golf Genius; a Golf Genius account is required. Entry deadline is 7 days before the event. Two coed flights: High School and Middle School. Competition is individual stroke play, with an optional two-player team element (partner of your choice). In the event of a tie for the overall individual championship, a hole-by-hole playoff will occur. Players must walk; motorised carts are not permitted. The Low Junior (boys) in Charlie's Maine Open earns automatic selection to the Maine Junior Team for the New England Junior Championship. Prizes include a trophy and Maine Golf voucher money for individual and team champions. Withdrawals made more than one week before the first round receive a full refund less a $25 processing fee; no refunds within one week of the event.

Prizes

Individual High School and Middle School champions each receive a trophy and Maine Golf voucher money. Team champions receive a trophy and Maine Golf voucher money. Voucher amounts depend on field size.
