The East Anglian Men's Autumn Open Foursomes is a two-day event held at Hunstanton Golf Club on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September 2026. Open to men aged 18 and over. Entries are limited to 60 pairs.

Format: Saturday consists of 36-hole qualifying stableford play (handicap allowance is half of the combined handicap per pair), played over the Blue course. The leading four pairs qualify into Flight One for Sunday; all other pairs qualify into further flights (Two to Fifteen) in multiples of four pairs, based on their qualifying scores. Sunday is matchplay knockout, with morning semi-finals and afternoon finals for each flight. A third-place play-off is held for Flight One qualifiers on Sunday afternoon.

Maximum handicap index of 18.0 per player; combined maximum for each pair is 30. iGolf handicaps are not accepted under any circumstances.

Entry fee is £180 per player (a discretionary discount is available for members). An optional sweepstake and ball sweep are each £10 per pair, payable on the day. AMEX is not accepted.

Closing date for entries is Friday 7th August 2026. Entries are on a first come, first served basis; a reserve list operates. All entries are subject to approval by the Competitions Committee.

Practice rounds are available on Friday 11th September from 14:00 at £50 per person — contact the office on 01485 532811 to book.

Meals included: a light lunch between qualifying rounds on Saturday; supper after play on Saturday; traditional Sunday lunch after the Sunday semi-final rounds. Presentation commences at 18:00 on Sunday — jacket and tie required.

Competitors should register on arrival in the Golf Room on Saturday 12th September. Buggies are permitted only for those with a medical certificate. Competitors are elected Honorary Members of the Club for the duration of the event.

Prizes

Prizes are awarded to winners of all flights and to the pair recording the best qualifying score.
