Portarlington Golf Club, founded in 1908, is located in Garryhinch, approximately 2.5 miles from Portarlington in County Offaly, Ireland. This 18-hole parkland course was designed by Eddie Hackett and was converted from 9 holes in the early 1990s. The expansion integrated the River Barrow and adjoining woodland areas into the course design, creating a picturesque setting featuring magnificent mature trees and abundant wildlife including mallard ducks, swans, and red squirrels. The course presents a serious challenge to golfers of all levels, with hazards strategically positioned throughout.
