This 18-hole parkland course was designed by Eddie Hackett and was converted from 9 holes in the early 1990s. The course presents a serious challenge to golfers of all levels, with hazards strategically positioned throughout. The layout emphasizes the natural landscape, with water hazards and wooded areas playing significant roles in the course architecture. Portarlington Golf Club is recognized as one of Ireland's top courses, ranking #89 in the nation's Top 100 Golf Courses. The club offers comprehensive facilities including practice amenities, a full bar and restaurant, and hosts numerous member competitions and weekly open competitions alongside regular junior coaching programs.
