Featured Events - February 2026

January was another busy month. Apart from battling with monopolies, work on the website continued at a fair pace. We now have a Blog Posts section, and a Locations section.

The Locations section allows users to browse by location, providing an overview of the location and highlighting some of our featured events there.

We've made the decision to move over to English language as most users speak English, and those that don't can use Google Translate to switch to their own language. It makes it a lot easier for us to check an event when it's called "Senior Ladies Cup" instead of "シニアレディス杯", and the AI is only too happy to oblige with the translation work. It will take a while to transition existing data across though.

For this months featured events, as all of us in Europe are waiting for winter to be over, there are some last-minute options to get away from the bad weather, plus some that you might need to plan for, both in terms of time, and in terms of spending. Some real bucket-list options await!

Update from the Engine Room

Down here in the engine room, we've decided to employ some cheaper labour. You see, Claude was starting to get a little expensive processing thousands of events every week, but we had a chat and he introduced me to his little brother, Haiku. Well we gave him a test, and for our tasks, he was just as good, fully multi-lingual, and 1/3rd of the cost.

During January, we extracted 5,727 new Course Events with high confidence, along with 1,483 Tour Events. Thanks to all those course and tour owners who have signed up and started verifying their events. These events will be given priority listing on the site, and show up with a green tick rather than a grey 'AI' symbol.
