VA

Established in 1924, Army Navy Country Club is a private, member-owned country club. Arnold Palmer Course

CA

Playing at 6,834 yards, the course features rolling fairways with numerous doglegs and strategic driving holes that challenge golfers of all skill levels while remaining fundamentally fair. The design combines aesthetic desert vistas with strategic play, characteristic of Palmer's architectural philosophy. The course is lined with Tifway 419 Bermuda fairways and Tiffdwarf greens, with Bermuda rough. Throughout the 18 holes, water hazards and strategic bunkering come into play on multiple holes, including notable par 3s at holes 4, 7, and 11, and challenging par 4s and par 5s that demand precise shot-making. Signature holes such as hole 8, a short par 4 with water right and tiered greens, and hole 12, another demanding par 4 with water and sand throughout, exemplify Palmer's strategic design philosophy. The course's layout emphasizes proper positioning off the tee and accurate approach shots, making it both accessible and rewarding for skilled players.

Arnold Palmer Golf Course (PGA West)

CA

Aronimink Golf Club

PA

Aronimink Golf Club is a private Platinum Golf Club located just outside of Philadelphia in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. The club's roots can be traced to 1896 when the Royal and Ancient game made its way to America and the Belmont Golf Association (BGA), the forerunner of the Aronimink Golf Club, spun off from the Belmont Cricket Club. In 1926, Aronimink acquired 300 acres in Newtown Square and commissioned Donald Ross to design the historical golf course. From the championship tees, Aronimink's course is 7,237 yards (6,618 m) and plays to a par of 70. Framed by hardwoods and evergreens, the course is a test of long-hole and short-hole skills, as well as the execution of sound course management. With 75 bunkers and numerous slopes, valleys and doglegs, the course tests a player's patience and endurance. Aronimink's opening hole is one of the most memorable in golf. The intimidating first hole plunges down into a valley, then rises steeply, playing long and uphill to a well-guarded undulating green. The eighth hole, perhaps the hardest par three on the course, plays 237 yards downhill to a narrow green bisected by a large mound. Aronimink has hosted a number of significant golf events during its storied history, including the 1962 PGA Championship (won by Gary Player), the 1977 U.S. Amateur (John Fought) and the 2003 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship (John Jacobs). The club has also hosted the 2010 & 2011 AT&T National and the 2018 BMW Championship. Aronimink is set to host the 2026 PGA Championship, which will coincide with the United States semiquincentennial.
