Set amongst the pine trees and sand dunes of the Lancashire Coast, Formby Ladies Golf Course weaves through the central area of Formby Golf Club, framed by vibrant purple heather and firm linksland. The course measures 5,356 yards from the red markers with a par of 71, offering a unique and varied challenge suited to golfers of all abilities. The layout is characterized by tight fairways and well-guarded greens that demand skill and precision. While higher handicappers and shorter hitters find the course relatively forgiving, lower handicap players face significant difficulty in scoring well. Indigenous heather protects much of the rough, requiring caution at numerous holes. The course is part of the Ainsdale Sand Dunes National Nature Reserve, managed by Natural England.
