Forsbacka Golfklubb Top 100 Review

Forsbacka Golfklubb is a member-governed, non-profit sports association established in 1969, with the course completed in 1971. The course is a scenic forest and parkland layout designed by renowned Swedish architect Nils Sköld. Located near Åmål in Dalsland, approximately 10 minutes from the town center, the course is beautifully positioned around and alongside Forsbackasjön lake, offering natural woodland and open parkland holes with scenic views.

The club attracts approximately 850 members during summer months and around 6,000 visiting guests annually. The facility includes Forsbacka Herrgård, a historically significant estate owned by the club, featuring preserved buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries. The Jägmästarflygeln (Hunt Master's Wing) has been converted into a hotel with thirteen tastefully decorated rooms that maintain period authenticity in design and color schemes. The course supports significant local employment, with six full-time staff and up to twenty seasonal workers.
