Forsgate Country Club is located in Monroe Township, New Jersey, and features two distinctively different eighteen-hole golf courses. The Banks course, designed by Charles Banks, opened in 1931 and measures 6,677 yards with a par of 71. The Palmer course, designed by Hal Purdy, features 6,096 yards of golf for a par of 72. The Banks Course has been ranked in the top 20 courses in New Jersey by Golf Digest from 2015–2018 and 2021–2022, and is also highly ranked on Top100GolfCourses.com.
The Banks course features a challenging parkland-style layout with rolling fairways, leading to meticulously maintained greens. The course includes eighteen elevated greens with varying shapes and sizes, some featuring false fronts and classic designs such as Redan and Biarritz, with bunkers sitting well below the putting surface, some up to 16 feet deep. The course features an outstanding quartet of par-3s, including the bold and dramatic Biarritz 17th. Many golf historians consider Forsgate to be among Banks' top three designs.
