Williamsburg National Golf Club - The Jamestown Course

The Jamestown Course is a par 72 layout measuring close to 7,000 yards from the championship tees with five sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. Designed by the Nicklaus Design group, this course is a four-star Golf Digest winner. The course opened in 1995. The greens were renovated and resurfaced with Champion Bermuda grass in 2017, which grows well in Williamsburg's hot and humid summer climate ensuring year-round premium playing conditions. The Jamestown Course has hosted the PGA Tour Michelob Open Qualifier on three occasions. It has received numerous awards including recognition as one of the ten best courses you can play in Virginia by Golf Digest Magazine. The course features five tee boxes and offers a strategic layout that requires thoughtful shot placement, appealing to golfers of varying abilities from novices to experienced competitors.

Williamsburg National Golf Club - The Yorktown Course

The Yorktown Course is an 18-hole layout at Williamsburg National Golf Club in Williamsburg featuring 7,018 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by renowned architect Tom Clark, the course has five sets of tees ranging from 7,000 yards and challenging test for the best golfers to less than 5,000 yards and very playable for the novice golfer. The Yorktown Course opened in 2007. Tom Clark's Yorktown layout is a great mix of classic course design with a few modern twists. The Yorktown's back nine is among the most unique and interesting in the Williamsburg area with three par 5's, three par 4's and three par 3's. The Yorktown Course features hybrid bent grass greens and the region only seasonally over-seeded fairways for year-round green grass playing conditions and the best fairways on the peninsula. The course was ranked as the No. 7 most-improved course nationwide by Golf Advisor in 2018. It has earned multiple accolades, including a spot in Golf Digest's "Top Ten Courses You Can Play in Virginia." Contrasting designs and putting surfaces on the Yorktown and Jamestown courses provide club members, locals, and traveling golfers two distinctly different golf experiences.

The course was designed by architects Stephen Kay and Doug Smith. The layout comprises 18 holes with a par of 71 and measures 6,611 yards. Kay created a resort-style layout that resembles a lush Florida golf course, with the course adorned with abundant willow trees and rewarding accuracy through a wide variety of elevations and hazards, while water features appear on 12 holes and play a prominent role in the course's aesthetics and strategy. The course stands out for its abundance of both sand and water, with nearly 100 bunkers and lightning-fast, wildly undulating greens that present a formidable test for even the best players. The most challenging hole is the par-5 9th, measuring 570 yards from the back tees with water looming on both sides of the fairway. The signature par-3 16th hole features an island-like green surrounded on three sides by water. The course was recognized as a qualifying site for the 2011 New York State Open and voted to the Newsday and Golfing Magazine "Dream 18" lists. It is the recipient of the prestigious 2023 Reader's Choice Award.
