The 18-hole Wolf Laurel course features 5,847 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 74. Designed in 1965 by W.B. Lewis, the course rises and falls from 3,600 feet to 4,800 feet in elevation. The Wolf Laurel Country Club is located 27 miles north from Asheville, NC, and 29 miles south of the Tri-Cities (Johnson City, Bristol and Kingsport, TN). Elevated atop the Blue Ridge Mountains, the golf course is both beautiful and challenging, and is one of the highest courses east of the Mississippi River.

The course incorporates more than 1,000 feet of elevation change, with mature forests surrounding the course and no parallel fairways. The tee boxes for holes #6 and #10 are particularly breath-taking, with many golfers claiming these holes are their favorites for the dramatic views. Golfers can enjoy the peace and beauty of the mountains, often joined by deer or wild turkeys. The course rating is 70.5 and it has a slope rating of 134.
