The course has earned significant recognition, hosting three USGA Amateur Public Links Championships and receiving rankings as one of Hawaii's best 15 courses by Golf Digest and the #3 course in Hawaii by The Golf Channel. The layout features varied terrain with par 3s, 4s, and 5s distributed across both nines, with notable holes including the 535-yard par 5 opening hole and the challenging 456-yard par 4 second hole. Wailua offers comprehensive facilities including a golf shop, locker rooms with showers, driving range, putting green, chipping green, and practice bunker. Twilight play options are available both morning and afternoon.
