Tuam Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course founded in 1904, located in Barnacurragh, County Galway, Ireland. The course is considered one of the country's finest parkland layouts, characterized by tree-lined fairways, challenging bunkers, and demanding greens that test golfers of all skill levels. Christy O'Connor Snr, one of Ireland's greatest professional golfers, served as the club's first professional starting in the late 1940s. O'Connor went on to win over 60 professional tournaments, competed in 10 consecutive Ryder Cups, and finished in the top 10 of the Open Championship on 10 occasions, with his best finish being tied second in 1965. Tuam members famously funded his entry into his first professional tournament at Royal Portrush in 1951, where he finished as the leading Irishman.
