UGOLF Lacanau is an 18-hole championship golf course located in Lacanau Océan, Gironde, in France's Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, approximately one hour from Bordeaux. Built on sandy terrain in 1980 by architect John Harris, the course stretches 5,934 meters at par 72, offering diverse architectural features suitable for golfers of all levels.
Set within the forested Domaine de l'Ardilouse between the lake and ocean, the course benefits from a privileged climate and preserved natural environment. The layout combines visual appeal with challenging playability throughout the year. The course received ecodurable certification in 2017, implementing environmental management practices including chemical reduction, water conservation, soil respect, and biodiversity protection.
Facilities include a 50-station practice range with 20 covered bays, three putting greens, and a chipping green. The course operates year-round with extended summer hours (7:00-20:00 in July-August). Services include instruction through the UGOLF Academy, a pro shop with equipment fitting using GARMIN technology, restaurant facilities, and club rentals. Carts are available; golf cars are not permitted.
