Originally established in 1921 and formally opened in 1930, the course was designed by military personnel and has evolved significantly over its century of operation. The final nine holes were added by 1957, with construction funded largely through member donations. A distinctive feature of the course is Green Pond Brook, which crosses several holes as a water hazard, increasing the difficulty of play.
