The club occupies 76 acres of freehold land purchased in 1914, with the clubhouse established that same year following the transformation of an existing residence. Bendigo Golf Club has hosted significant events in golf history, including notable tournaments and exhibition matches. In 1939, legendary golfer Babe Didrikson competed in an exhibition match at the course against local professional Viv Billings. The club has maintained its status as a premier golfing destination in the Bendigo region since its establishment over 120 years ago.
