Bent Tree Country Club is a par 72 championship course located in Sarasota, Florida, featuring tree-lined fairways with towering mature oaks and an abundance of natural water hazards including miles of lakes and streams. The course underwent major renovations in 2015, which included installation of new TifEagle bermuda greens, newly excavated and filled bunkers, and remodeled fairways and tee boxes.

The layout accommodates golfers of all skill levels, providing a thorough challenge for experienced players while remaining accessible to higher handicap golfers. The course emphasizes traditional golf values and encourages walking. The natural terrain and unspoiled landscape create the aesthetic of a well-established northern course despite its Florida location.

Bent Tree has significant tournament history, having hosted the Sarasota LPGA Classic from 1976 to 1988. Notable champions include Nancy Lopez, who won her first LPGA tournament here and later claimed her 35th career victory at the course, which secured her entry into the LPGA Hall of Fame. Other past winners include Patty Sheehan (three times), Beth Daniel, JoAnne Carner, and Kathy Whitworth, among others.
