The Groves Golf Course

The Groves Golf Course is an 18-hole executive course located in Sarasota, Florida, just off I-75 and University Parkway. Designed by renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills, the course features a par 63 rating but plays with championship-level difficulty comparable to a par 72 course.

The layout consists of nine par 4s and nine par 3s, creating a unique short course experience that emphasizes shot placement and accuracy. Tight fairways and sloping greens present consistent challenges throughout the round. Situated on 50-plus acres of scenic Florida landscape, the course offers a natural yet manicured setting with memorable views.

Despite its executive course classification, The Groves provides a challenging and engaging experience that distinguishes it from typical short courses. The course is conveniently located for golfers from Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, and Venice. It operates as a public facility with tee times available seven days in advance, opening at 7:00 AM daily. The course hosts corporate tournaments and group outings and features an on-site bar and grill for post-round dining.
