The course is fairly easy, but there are a couple interesting holes that require some creativity. Technical difficulty is moderate. It is one of the easier courses to walk in the Greenville area. The course offers well-maintained conditions and provides practice facilities including a driving range, practice tees, putting green, and chipping area. The facility has a practice range, pro shop and lessons available.

Lakeview won the award "Best of the Valley" for golf by the readers of the Daily News-Record in 2013 and 2014.
