Kiyokawa Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 golf course located in Kiyokawa-mura, Aikō District, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the course opened on September 22, 1985, and measures 6,299 yards from the tees. The layout is divided into an outward nine of 3,218 yards and an inward nine of 3,171 yards. The course features multiple tee boxes, including black, blue, white, and red tees, with course ratings ranging from 65.2 to 70.6 for men and 70.3 to 76.8 for women. The terrain is characterized by undulating ground and a variety of hazards, including numerous grass bunkers and ponds. The design emphasizes Nicklaus’s distinctive contouring, requiring precise shot-making to avoid missed shots landing in the bunkers. The greens are constructed with a bentgrass surface, specifically the creeping bentgrass 007 variety, which is noted for its American-style sand-based construction. This setup demands delicate touch and putting accuracy. Play at Kiyokawa Country Club is conducted with caddies for all groups, although self-play options are available. The course also allows for rounds using electric induction-guided carts. The facility includes a practice area with a 230-yard driving range, an approach area, and bunkers. The club operates as a members-only facility with a history of reorganization, with the current entity established in December 2003.
