Kitayatsu Golf Garden is a 18-hole short course located in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. Opened in 1970, the facility is situated in a green, forested area that provides a setting reminiscent of a highland course. The layout consists of two distinct nine-hole courses, the East Course and the West Course, which are designed to offer varied challenges for players of all skill levels. The East Course covers 865 yards with a par of 27, while the West Course spans 670 yards, also with a par of 27. The total yardage for the 18 holes is 1,535 yards. The course is designed to allow golfers to experience the feel of playing a full course, making it suitable for beginners learning the rules and etiquette as well as advanced players looking to refine their techniques. The facility is noted for its accessibility, being located approximately one hour from the city center. The golf course is accompanied by a large driving range featuring a 230-yard natural grass range with a width of 100 meters. The range includes 80 bays arranged in a two-story structure, all facing south to ensure comfortable practice conditions even in winter. Additional practice facilities include a Korean grass putting green, a bent grass putting green, and a bunker practice area. The facility also offers night practice sessions on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Kitayatsu Golf Garden has a history of developing many professional golfers through its junior and adult lesson programs. The facility hosts regular competitions, including junior tournaments on the first Sunday of every month and senior competitions on the second Friday. It is recognized as a traditional course in the Kanto region, known for its family-friendly atmosphere and comprehensive training facilities.
