Kimi no Mori Golf Club is a 18-hole, par-72 championship course located in Oabishirio, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. Designed by Nagahara Miyazawa and opened in November 1993, the course is set on a flat to gently rolling terrain that incorporates white sand bunkers and strategic water hazards. The layout is characterized by its flat topography, which allows for a strategic game where players must navigate cross-bunkers and water features to manage their scores effectively. The greens are planted with Bentgrass, cut at 3.2mm, and typically run at a speed of 9.5ft. The front nine presents a mix of long par-5s and challenging par-4s. The opening hole is a 542-yard par-5 that requires a precise tee shot to the left, followed by a second shot to the right of a front-left guard bunker. Hole 2 is a 441-yard par-4 featuring a two-tiered green, while Hole 6 offers a 526-yard par-5 with a three-tiered green and a cross-bunker on the fairway. The back nine introduces more water hazards, including a 372-yard par-4 at Hole 7 where long hitters must clear a water in front of the green. The 17th hole is a dramatic 197-yard par-3 that carries over a large pond, with a deep grass bunker protecting the right side of the green. The course is designed to challenge players with its multiple-tiered greens and strategic water placements. Several holes, including the 2nd, 9th, and 18th, feature two-tiered greens that require precise approach shots. The 18th hole is a 443-yard par-4 with a separate fairway, where the green is guarded by water from the front. The course also includes several par-3s, such as the 165-yard 3rd hole with a three-tiered wave green, and the 154-yard 12th hole, which has a water hazard to the right front of the green. Located approximately 55 minutes from the Hakozaki Interchange in Tokyo, the club offers a clubhouse with a view of the sparkling water surface. The facility includes a 15-bay driving range with a 100-yard distance, rental clubs, and a restaurant. The course operates on a self-service basis, with membership available for those seeking regular play. The design by Miyazawa emphasizes strategy over length, with bunkers and ponds serving as key challenges for golfers of all skill levels.
