Address:
County Londonderry

Kilrea Golf Club was founded in 1919 and is located a half mile southwest of Kilrea town in Northern Ireland. The course features 9 holes extended to 5,672 yards, originally designed by H McNeill, the professional at Royal Portrush. Built on terrain known as The Rough Hills, the course is notable for its excellent drainage due to the dry nature of the soil and well-drained reclaimed bogland extensions, allowing play when many Irish courses are waterlogged.
The layout is characterized by tight fairways and small greens, demanding accuracy off the tee despite the extended length. The undulating inland terrain provides attractive natural surroundings. The course presents a moderate-to-challenging difficulty level, with most holes requiring precision play to achieve par. The club's history includes periods of relocation and closure during the Great Depression, but the club returned to its original location at The Rough Hills in 1937, where it has continued to operate. The course remains a focal point for the local community and hosts regular men's and ladies' competitions.
